Community Resources and Events
It's a new year but we still have great resources for you! Come see our new look!
2023 is here! This new year brings new opportunities and more chances to grow and change. One of the changes I’ve made is updating the look of our newsletter! We have a new design that we’ll think you’ll like and it makes our content a little easier to grasp.
Take some time to ground yourself as you navigate new spaces and find ways to show gratitude for what is. Even though it’s a new year, you can still love and appreciate the same you.
The Birth Neoterist Newsletter is a community space. This is a space where guest writing is welcomed, guest speakers are invited, and community events are shared. Add a comment below or send us an email at info@sabiawade.com with any events you have coming up this season and we will add them in. Or you can contact us if you’d like to share your story on this platform.
This month we have a January Mood playlist, upcoming events, mutual aid for a community members and job opportunities.

Death Café | January 26th | Online | This free event where people come together and bring up that “taboo“ subject—death! Have you been wanting to talk about it but thought it was too weird? Or have you had an experience you’d like to share? Or even just curious? A Death Café is not necessarily a support group or grief counseling, there is no real agenda or theme, just a neutral space to show up together to chat! **Happens every 4th Thursday of the month.
Embodying the Future Retreat + Conference | March 29th - 31st, 2023| Nurturely's Milk Mood Moves conference is expanding! We are joining forces with Sabia Wade + Black Birth Matters (by Birthmark Doulas) to co-create an interdisciplinary learning and connection opportunity for birthworkers, health professionals, researchers, and advocates. Nurturely sessions will include the latest science and clinical knowledge of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, focusing on human milk and lactation, perinatal mood disorders, and physiology and biomechanics of the perinatal period.
