The plan was to record a new meditation for you all, but life happens and liberation is allowing ourselves to flow with life. So while I sit with those I care for, I am resharing this grounding that I recorded a year ago and is still relevant and needed today.
Grounding Session Transcript
There's so much going on in the world. So I would like to take a pause together, do some grounding together and try to find that joy that can easily be Miss right now in this world of what feels so chaotic, so negative, but hopefully this grounding will help you to find a little bit of joy, at least for the moment. So when you are ready, find a comfortable space feel free to lay down, feel free to sit up, feet under the ground, whatever makes you have trouble. When you are ready, you can close your eyes. If it's more comfortable for you to lower your gaze or even keep your eyes open, please feel free to do that. There is no right or wrong way to do this you're ready I'd like you to take some deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth or your nose whatever when it feels better. As you're taking deep breaths, just take notice any resistance in your body. Take notice of any sensations in your body. When things feel heavy, like open close, tingly, whatever it is just feel them notice them don't judge it. Continue taking a couple more deep breaths just time aiming to drop your shoulders. Release your pelvic floor just write some looseness in your body for a moment, I want you to think about the armor that we all kind of cover ourselves in as we get through today. The armor that allows us to hear bad news and keep going the armor that protects us as we navigate through the road or our feelings through the day and their armor is super important super protective but it also be pretty exhausting to carry so much armor all the time so why don't you just feel what that what their armor feels like on your body? Does it feel like shield shield them away from the rest of the world? Does it feel heavy to maintain this armor is what does it feel like? Now what I would like you to do is to start letting go of some of that armor. Right so let's take off your cape. Take off anything that is protecting you right now. Just let yourself be open notice if even the thought of being open without armor brings up any resistance, any feelings, maybe maybe feelings of joy, maybe feelings of happiness maybe it feels impossible to let your armor down but just for this these couple of minutes. We're going to just put our armor down as much as we can take some deep breaths in through your nose out through your mouth Galliano's. This time just feeling your armor drops to the floor feeling yourself open up hopefully starting to begin to feel some lightness continue to do some deep breaths and listen if you feel called to armor is there to protect this for him the world sometimes the chaos the negative feelings but even without armor we sometimes have to put it down just to allow ourselves to just be right for our for our skin to breathe for our hearts to breathe for throats to fill it all been Dr Harris insert to grow in this money setting itself be open as you sit here with less armor I want you to think about what is it that you need for the rest of the day to protect yourself and your well being tries to listen to yourself from that inner space that is now without the armor and listen intentionally do you need to pause today cancel some things do you need to eat drink nourish your body do you need to take a break from social media do you need to axe someone for a hug and affection. Whatever it is just take notice of that and the messages that come to you Lastly, I'll watch takes deep breaths as deep as you can in through your nose and out through your mouth or your nose. This time taking those breaths as slowly as you can and releasing them slowly as well. Lipstadt feel free to put that armor back on. If you feel the need to buy just want to remind you that during these times of chaos and balance that you still honor yourself. I haven't moments of just putting that armor down, letting yourself be open and listening to the messages that are coming to you. Be sure to take that advice whether it is a social media break. Whether it is taking a nap, whatever it is try to infuse that into your day just remember that within you is joy. Sometimes it's hard, it's fine, but it is still there. So when you are ready, look around your space, orienting yourself to where you are. what day it is time it is. Thank you hope this helps
