Repost: Death, Dying, and Elective Transition

Honoring Anna's memory

Content Warning: This episode contains talk of death, dying, & chronic illness.

Being that we’ve been focusing on death this month, I thought it fitting to re-share this interview I did with Anna, BADT Alum, Full Spectrum Doula, and an amazing human being. This year, Anna transitioned through the use of MAID - Medical Assistance In Dying. Her journey has been instrumental to my exploration of death work, and I am so grateful to Anna for her wisdom, courage, and sincerity through the process. I learn from her every day. Honoring you always, Anna.

In this very special episode, Sabia talks with Annastasia (Anna) Wells (she/her/it/its') about her decision to opt for medical assistance in dying.

Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings has created a scholarship in Anna’s name.
